First and Last Name: Mark Jeffrey
Stage Name: Anomaly

Style of Music: Jungle
Goals: To create and perform quality music, also to do my part to keep the scene alive and support other people that have the same vision for the music.
A few comments on Lansing Music Scene and the other musicians who play: The scene in Lansing needs some work, no doubt. However, there are a lot of
very talented artists and dj's who have been around for a while or are just
now coming up who hold a lot of potental for our scene. I would say that
talent-wise, Lansing could about compete with any city in America. The only
thing limiting us is key resources, ie: venues, public support, etc. There
is no shortage of skills or creativity in Lansing by any means.
What do you see in your musical future: Hopefully I can get my powerbook working right and put together a live pa soon!
What do you see for the future of music: What I would like to see is a wide spread collaboration of live jungle and
intelligent hiphop. Emcees, DJ's, B-boys, Graf writers, live pa jungle
sound, the whole nine. Both scenes have been feeling a bit stale lately,
and imagine if the two worked together to help each other thrive. Cut out
all the hostile vibes and bullshit, and take it back to when both styles
were raw and when you first got that feeling from the music. That's my
vision right now.

Artists you respect: Any jungle/dnb producer that has kept it live for the duration. Locals!! In
particular, Scottfro and Barron. Scottfro caught the vibe only recently,
but he hit the ground running and sprung up his own label. Something
everyone else has been afraid to do until now, so big up to Scottfro!
Barron is extremely talented with all things heavy. His DJ sets are ill,
and his live pa is extremely heavy and well put together. He's not afraid
to do whatever he wants music wise (probably in every aspect of his life
too) and it comes out at his shows. He thrashes harder than any DJ in
Lansing onstage, and I wouldn't be surprised if he acts like that when he's
home alone...big up to Barron for keeping it intense!
